guest host Max Ochs

Friday, March 15, 7:30 PM
Annapolis Friends Meeting, 351 DuBois Rd., Annapolis 21401

Mari Black
Multistyle violinist & champion fiddler Mari Black's virtuosic fiddling, sparkling stage presence, and commitment to bringing people together through music have made her a favorite with audiences across the country and around the world. She is a master of diverse musical styles and winner of several major international competitions (notably, she is a 2-time U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Champion). Mari sweeps her audiences away on a spirited musical adventure featuring dance music from around the globe: Celtic, American, and Canadian fiddling, jazz, tango, klezmer, folk, original works, and more. She and her dynamic band (Joe Magar on bass and D.C.'s own Owen Morrison on guitar) will treat you to an unforgettable experience that will have you tapping your toes and dancing in the aisles
!

Opening Set: Two Sisters, the duo of Guen and Liz Spilsbury (yes, they are sisters), will open this show. They are from the DC area, and they sing mostly traditional folk music, plus some classical and Renaissance songs - a nice variety, delivered with harmony they've been developing since childhood.
Our host for the evening will be the inimitable Max Ochs, 333's Host Emeritus.
